About Danni
Danni is a Vegan Chef and 5th generation Herbalist with a rich lineage that originated in Congo and Trinidad and Tobago. Her passion for herbs, food, health, and wellness began at a young age when her aunt would brew blends, sparking curiosity and wonder. After a stint of educating at the Aveda Institute in Washington, DC, she worked in every capacity of the food industry in D.C. learning techniques from Michelin star chefs and celebrated Mixologists.
When her mother was diagnosed with cancer in 2015, this change of events caused Danni to go down the rabbit hole of alkaline eating, healing herbs, and how our bodies receive information from the food we eat. Her passion turned to finding natural remedies for balance in the body — Mucus causing foods. Eating for haplotype. Herbal tinctures. Creating tea blends, and much more.
Danni’s first client was her father, who took prescription pills for gout for many years before she recommended he make a few slight changes to his diet. A few months ago, he was instructed to stop taking his pills — they were causing gout outbreaks. Those small changes in his diet sent messages to provide healing and balance in his body.
Many clients later, Danni’s passion is that we all become our own experts. We are but spirits living in human bodies. The foods we eat communicate with these beautiful bodies in order to perform daily tasks. Transforming plants into familiar comfort foods that she grew up with while staying true to mucus reducing diets and true to flavor! Imagine knowing what signals our bodies send us and exactly what food to eat, which herb to ingest, or which tea to drink that will correct and stabilize said symptoms. While Danni is not a doctor, she is a healer. The Earth has provided us with a multitude of agents to assist us in living a balanced, well life. Danni’s perspective to healing is a Bio-Individual approach that looks at life holistically — mental, physical, and spiritual health — considering all elements, rather than just the symptom. Many times, the symptom is simply communicating a deeper issue. Let’s get to the root!
